Memberships

The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) is the leading international body representing the interests of library and information services and their users. It is the global voice of the library and information profession.

TermNet, the International Network for Terminology, provides an international co-operation forum for organisations, who want to benefit from the knowledge and expertise of a global network.

TermNet was founded on the initiative of UNESCO, with the aim to establish a network for co-operation in the field of terminology. In 1988, TermNet was registered as a non-profit organization being allowed commercial activities for the benefit of its members.

IranDoc is one of the legal members of the Iranian Association of Information and Librarianship. Together they do joint activities. This includes holding a conference on "Knowledge Management and Information Science, Connections, and Interactions" and publishing the "research and scientific quarterly on Information Sciences and Technology".

This association was established to help promoting scientific capabilities in the areas of communication and information and feed its experts, improving universities' research and education to enable them implement the "communication and information foreseeing national project". It has five main members and two alternative members who are selected every three years. This association her several committees namely, research and education committee, publications, information and census, public relations, and scientific gatherings committees.

Founded in 12 July 2009, the Iranian Association of Information Management founders selected the ISAIM board members from qualified scholars in the relevant fields and used their knowledge and expertise to promote research and practice in the field of Information Management in Iran.

To reach its goal, ISAIM board members do various activities including, research, scientific collaboration, encouraging researchers, delivery of educational, research, and technical services, holding scientific conferences, publishing scholarly work within the ISAIM strategic plan and charter of Iranian scientific associations. ISAIM conduct these activities with the help of its members, sponsors as well as several scholars who have shown interest to work as volunteers.
