Introduction

Iranian Journal of Information Processing and Management is a scholarly journal endorsed by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology as a research journal/ periodical[N1]  whose articles receive a double blinded peer-review procedure. Its first issue was published in September 1972 named "Technical Journal of Scientific Documentation Center".  Currently this journal follows these goals:

★  To expand scientific communications among researchers and tech experts, and among science and technology producers and users;

★  To publish and represent the latest research findings in Iran;

★  To boost the view rate of Iranian publications in the world;

★  To inform audiences on the advancements in science and technology;

★  To provide a platform to record the results and findings of research in Iran;

★  To identify and introduce Iranian researchers and innovators;

★  To improve level of knowledge and research in Iran.

 

The Iranian Journal of Information Processing and Management publishes original research, current advancements and latest trends on the following topics:

★  Library and information sciences;

★  Infometrics;

★  Information management;

★  Knowledge management;

★  Terminology;

★  Information society;

★  Human and information interaction;

★  Computational linguistics;

★  Information and IT management;

★  Information processing and organization.

This journal is published in Farsi in printed and electronic formats. The articles' abstracts and citations are published in English. It is a quarterly journal, that is, it is published four times a year.

The Iranian Journal of Information Processing and Management gets indexed in ISC and SCOPUS and follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
