Regulations for registration and dissemination of research proposals, Master theses and PhD dissertations were officially issued on the 26th November 2016 (ref no: 195929) to protect the intellectual rights of Iranian authors in the universities, research institutes, and governmental and non-governmental higher education research and technology centers, affiliated with or supervised by the Iran Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT). According to these regulations all the MSRT scholars and researchers are obligated to register full text of their manuscripts in IranDoc. To facilitate the registration process, IranDoc has created the National Registration System. This web-based system is available to all Iranian researchers, students and scholars at home and abroad.
After their research proposal got approval from their home institute, students must register their proposals on the IranDoc Registration System and get a reference number. Likewise, Master and PhD students are obligated to register their theses and dissertations and upload a full text copy to this system and get a reference number. Upon IranDoc's approval, the dissertations and theses will be accepted by corresponding institutes/universities. Students then should provide their university with the reference number by which the university is then able to track and confirm the information submitted by the student in the registration system. It is then by the confirmation of the institution that the registration process is completed.
